2025年4月に開幕した大阪・関西万博、もう行かれた方もいらっしゃるでしょうか。
私自身は5月中に現地を訪れる予定ですが、ニュースや現地からの声を聞くたびに、あらためて「日本は今、大きな転換期にある」と感じます。
会場では、世界中からの来場者が集まり、街全体が国際都市として活気づいています。
そんな風景の中で、私が注目しているのは“人”の部分──多くの外国人が、私たちの社会の一員として働いているということです。
■ 万博会場で見かける“あたりまえ”の変化
パビリオンや最新技術に目を奪われがちですが、足元を見れば、

多言語対応スタッフとして活躍する人たち
など、あらゆる場所で外国人の方々が普通に働いている光景があります。
一昔前なら「珍しい」と思われていた場面が、今では「当たり前」になりつつある。
それは、単なる人手不足の対処ではなく、“共に働く社会”へと自然に変化してきた証のように思えます。
■ 万博は始まりにすぎない──大阪IR構想のその先へ
そしてもう一つ注目されているのが、万博終了後に本格始動する「大阪IR（統合型リゾート）構想」です。
2029年の開業を目指し、カジノやホテル、大型商業施設を含む街づくりが進んでいます。
このプロジェクトでは、
